Book of my life

Our life is like a book. I have a book which is about my life.
The author of my book is God and me.
The beginning of my book was written by God alone, although I was not involved in planning into which family I would be born, I am thankful to God for His decision, which I know is the best for me, and the best way to start the story of my life.
Up till now many chapters had been written, and I do not know how much more chapters are there for me to write.
In some chapter, I wrote on my own, unwilling to let God be involved. In the end, I screwed up the entire chapter, with blobs of black ink and mistakes, only to realise that had I let God help me in writing those chapters, the story would flow beautifully. But God is ever so loving and merciful, He would "blanko" the mistakes with Jesus' blood and then turn the page over for a new chapter.
I have decided to start a new chapter today, which is a new part in the book, in which I have decided to be the pen in God's hand. In this chapter and the chapters to come, I expect to see that each page will be colourful and filled with thanksgiving, trust in God, joy, love, peace and hope. I, as the pen, will give my all to fulfill my duty as a pen, being the humble instrument in God's mighty hand to unfold the wonderful storyline God had in mind for this book.
I would not know when the last chapter of this book will be written, or how it would end. But it doesn't matter, for I know that when the book is finished, I will still be in God's hand.
For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain--Philippians 1:21
