Life Here
Just wanna share about my experience when I 1st came here. The 1st tanggapan I had was: wow! Everybody look soooo bright! They 'memancarkan gelombang of cleverness' wan...scare me... and...they all there "berspeaking" high quality English...fuuu~I don't dare speak my chinglish...so inferior...
I felt like crying that day. I felt so alone. No daddy, mommy, no Hannah, no Sammy boy, no frens...just me---but thank God, there's Jesus! It's truly a comfort to know that Jesus is always with us no matter where we are.
Oh ya, most people thought that Sabahans are bumiputeras. People thought that I am Kadazan. Why? Sad answer: Oh, hehe...your skin dark brown mah, and hairy woh..
And people here really still think that Sabah n Sarawak very ulu, and live in long house or trees...hish-hish...they said they learnt that from Geografi in Form 3, talk about Geografi, give wrong concept wan...what "kaya dengan kayu balak, hutan tropika..."
And when I mention Sandakan to my classmate, she said, "Hey, I din know got people like you come from there wan eh..."
"Then what kind of people you think come from there leh?"I asked.
"Hehe...orang utan..."
We can see how priviledge I am to be able to tell them more about Sandakan, about having jalan raya, bangunan konkrit, bekalan elektrik dan air......makes them surprised!
~I LOVE SANDAKAN!~
p/s: and i don't know why people are dying to get out of there...
